Heaven Can Wait
YC Fall Theatre Opens October 7th
York College Theatre is presenting the classic play Heaven Can Wait, October 7-10, 2010. A "spirited," timeless classic set in the 1940's... Not only is Joe Pendleton's soul accidentally plucked from his body and sent to heaven sixty years too early, but the angelic messengers are too late to restore him. Solution: take up residence in Jonathan Farnsworth's body, a rich business tycoon who is about to be murdered by his wife. With the help of Mr. Jordan - the head messenger, Joe tries to train for the championship boxing career he began in his former body, while undoing Farnsworth's wrong-doings before Mrs. Farnsworth can murder him…again.
The production will run October 7-10 in Gurganus Hall (10th & Kiplinger), with showings on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets are $6 adults/$4 seniors & students. Reservations can be made by calling the York College Box Office at 402-363-5641 or by email.
