A native of Bridgeport, Nebraska, Chad enters his tenth year as the Panther's Certified Athletic Trainer / Instructor. He received his MEd. in Curriculum and Instruction through Doane College, Crete, Nebraska in 2004. He received his B.S. in Physical Education and Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1991 and became nationally certified and state licensed to practice Athletic Training in 1992. He obtained his certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Kansas in 1993, and gained instructor certification status in CPR/First Aid in 2000. Chad also currently coordinates and administers an athletic training outreach program in conjunction with York General Hospital, serving 6 area high schools.

Prior to coming to York College, Chad spent 7 years working in Physical Therapy through both the Fillmore County Hospital, Geneva, Nebraska and York Physical Therapy in rehabilitation and as the coordinator for a local high school outreach program serving 14 area high schools on an athletic training consultation basis. During this time he also served as Jr. High and Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Geneva High School. He and his wife Joni, a Special Education Teacher, Asst. Track Coach, and Asst. Girls Basketball Coach at Fillmore Central Elementary School, Geneva, Nebraska, have three boys: Kyle – 15, Kurt – 13, and Kole – 10.
