Locating Periodicals
Current Magazines and Journals

When you walk past the Loan Desk into the main library area on first floor you will see two ranges of shelving with slanted shelves displaying the current periodicals (magazines and journals) in alphabetical order by title which Levitt Library subscribes to. Levitt Library subscribes to approximately 200 titles. Under the most current periodical you will find a stack of other issues for the same year. |
Magazines and Journals From Last Year
| Magazines and Journals from the previous year will be found on shelves just north of the current periodicals on first floor. They will be shelved in boxes alphabetically by their title. |

Magazines and Journals Over Two Years Old

Magazines and Journals over two years old are shelved by their call number with our books and other materials. To find the call number, look under the most current issue on the slanted shelf where the current periodicals are shelved and you will find a card containing the title and its call number or search in the Online Catalog. |
Newspapers
| Levitt Library subscribes to the Wall Street Journal and three local newspapers. The most current York News Times is kept behind the Loan Desk on reserve. Ask for it at the Loan Desk. |

York News Times newspapers that are more than one day old are kept on the atlas stand to the right of the lounge area. Due to a lack of space, newspapers are only kept for three weeks. |
| The most current Omaha World Herald, Lincoln Journal Star and Wall Street Journal can be found on the newspaper rack at the end of the current periodicals shelving. These newspapers that are more than one day old but less than three weeks old may be found on the dictionary stand to the right of the lounge area. |
