Ruth Carlock has a BS degree in Education from Northwest Missouri State University and graduated with a M.A. in Library Science from the University of Missouri, Columbia in December 2005. She has taught Home Economics in the public school for eight years and taught one summer at the Youth Development Center at Geneva, Nebraska. Ruth has worked in Levitt Library from 1972-1976 and from 1993 to the present. She wears the title of Director and teaches the information literacy classes, is in charge of acquisitions and cataloging, and supervises the paraprofessionals. Ruth was instrumental in getting Levitt Library’s Online Public Access Catalog up and running, and maintains the library Web pages. Ruth and her late husband Lowell have four children and eight grandchildren.
Ramona completed her Masters degree in Library Science from the University of Missouri, Columbia in May 2008. She previously received an AA degree at York College and a BA in Psychology/Sociology with a second major in Elementary Education at Harding University. Ramona began working at York College in 1993 and has worked in the Business Office, and the Campus Post Office. She has worked at Levitt Library since February, 2000. Ramona is the Assistant Director and is in charge of reserves, periodicals, circulation and supervises the work-study students. Ramona and her husband, John, have three daughters and one grandson. Ramona’s parents are Mabrey and Madge Miller.
Leo Miller received an AA from Northeastern Christian Junior College, and lacks a (1) hour class of completing a BS in Industrial Technology from ACU. He spent 2 years in Ghana supervising construction of a 2 story dormitory for the Ghana Bible College. He spent 4 years in business for himself. Ten years were at Northeastern Christian Junior College in maintenance, photography, and bus driving. He then moved to York in 1993 and worked in custodial and maintenance until 1998 and returned to YC August 1999 to work in the library as weekend and night manager. Leo is responsible for Interlibrary loans and has developed a database to record use and statistics. He is computer literate in graphics, word processors, HTML and databases. He has used the Internet since 1991.
