Theta Psi & Sig TauThe 31st anniversary of Songfest celebrated its closing finale Saturday night during the High School Days weekend. At the completion of the show, clubs anxiously awaited with the audience to hear the judges' tally of their three-night production. Theta Psi and Sigma Tau's "Let's Groove Tonight" swept the awards for Best Costumes, Choreography, and Music, winning for the second year in a row the coveted President's Award for best club show.

The success of this year's show was attributed in large part to the talented voices of six hosts and hostesses: Logan Bahler, Michal Dudrey, Patrick Good, Matthew Roush, Maegan Simpson, and Renee Willard. Under the direction of Dr. Songfest Hosts & HostessesClark Roush, they have been perfecting their performance since the campus-wide auditions in November. Each student chose the music for their own solo, showcasing a wide array of styles and genre to accompany the tight harmonies of their group numbers.

Over 25 percent of the York College student body participate in a Songfest production. Assistant Director Sue Roush said, "This is the only performance opportunity some of these students ever get. By writing and producing their own shows, the students also learn important leadership skills and form a very tight bond."

Next year's show is scheduled for April 2-4.
