MCAC HonorsAt the conclusion of the regular season, seven 1st Team All-Conference players and six 2nd Team were named from among the York College softball and baseball teams. Topping the list of athletes was MCAC Player of the Year Justin Lunday and MCAC Pitcher of the Year Bruce Amende. Lunday, a 6'4" senior outfielder from San Ramon, Calif., leads the team with a 0.459 batting average and fifteen homeruns. Amende, a junior from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, leads the team in pitching with an ERA of 1.80 and a perfect 10-0 record. After winning the conference title in baseball, Coach Nick Harlan was named MCAC Coach of the Year. In his 6th year as head coach, Harlan's team has a 44-7 record , 19-1 in conference. SOFTBALL

MCAC 1st Team All-Conference Gold Glove Winners ********** York College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and a founding member of the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference. The MCAC is comprised of 10 liberal arts, senior colleges with similar philosophies of supporting intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the educational process by fostering physical, mental, social, emotional, moral, and professional growth in student athletes. |
