Cocoa and Carols
Celebrations Singers perform The Best Time of the Year
Evident by the four sold-out performances, one of the most anticipated community events of the holiday season was this year's Cocoa and Carols. Directed by Mrs. Amy Fraser, each of the shows were performed by the Celebration Singers for a capacity crowd in Gurganus Hall.
In an interview with the York News-Times prior to the show, Fraser talked about how much she has enjoyed Cocoa and Carols through the years. As a student at YC, Fraser was a performer in the production, and before becoming the director, she would bring her three sons every year. Just like their mom, they loved coming to the show.
Audiences heard some of their favorites including, Oh Holy Night, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus , Let It Snow , among others. Cocoa and cookies were made available by the York Chapter of Helping Hands. As a bonus to each performance, parents with small children were encouraged to attend and stay after for a special picture with Santa and his elf.
