Panther Baseball and Softball Teams Rank High in Preseason Poll

York College earned the top spot in the MCAC Baseball Preseason Coaches’ Poll released Wednesday (Feb. 8).

The baseball team, which is ranked 22nd in the NAIA Preseason Top 25, finished 2011 with a 39-14 overall record and a 14-4 conference mark, capturing the MCAC regular season title last season.

YC was ranked #3 in the MCAC Softball Preseason Coaches’ Poll, also released Wednesday.

The baseball team begins their season today, February 10, playing Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas.

The softball team will face their first season opponents on February 17 when they play Hillsdale Baptist and Kansas Wesleyan in Moore, Oklahoma.
