York College students inducted into national honor societyThirteen students were inducted into the York College (Nebraska Epsilon, Chapter 315) chapter of Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society this fall. Admission into this academic honor organization is limited to juniors and seniors in the top 10 percent of their classes. The induction ceremony was held Saturday, October 13, at 11 a.m. at the home of Dr. Terence and Jo Kite. York College Alpha Chi sponsors this year are faculty members Dr. Louise Bailey and Dr. Terence Kite. Current members include Maegan Detlefs - Spearfish, SD, Crystal Rush (co-chairperson) - Ponca, NE, and Brent Smith (co-chairperson) - Martinsber, NE. About Alpha Chi Alpha Chi is a national college honor society that admits students from all academic disciplines, providing them with opportunities for leadership and additional academic development. Membership is limited to the top 10 percent of an institution's juniors, seniors, and graduate students.
