New titles announced for leadership of online and graduate programs

A promotion was announced recently for Lisa Menke, previously York College director for online learning. Her new title is associate dean for online education.

“This change in title…recognizes her hard work in guiding York College Online through the [Higher Learning Commission] accreditation process and developing the online infrastructure necessary to ensure that online education successfully expands the mission of York College beyond our current service regions,” says Tracey Wyatt, academic dean.

Menke says that the title is a refinement of her previous position, and should provide greater clarity to internal and external audiences about the level of commitment and service they can expect from YC Online.

In a related area, Jo Kite has expanded her role in the oversight of graduate programs. She came on board in September to coordinate the development of the online master’s degree in curriculum and instruction to be offered starting in January. She has recently been named the associate dean of graduate programs. In addition to the master’s in curriculum and instruction, she will collaborate with other faculty members to create additional graduate programs at YC.
