James Butler-Gruett is an Associate Professor of English at York University. He specializes
                              Creative Writing and Composition. He regularly publishes book reviews, short stories,
                              and poems in various literary journals. Recently he published ""How We Are Homeless:
                              on Lorrie Moore and I Am Homeless If This Is Not My Home" in DIAGRAM, "The Death of
                              Lully" in the Concrete Desert Review, and "You and Sometimes I" in HAD. His research
                              interests include the contemporary novel, the history of farce and the comedic novel,
                              contemporary writing about classical music and opera, and experimental fiction and
                              poetry. 
His favorite passages are the Parable of the Prodigal Son and God's speech to Job
                              in chapter 38. 
His favorite worship music is Handel's Messiah.
