Looking to come back to York? Great!
If you haven't been a YU student for a semester or more and you are considering returning we've listed out the steps to be readmitted below.
1. Complete Your Application
You'll need to fill out a new application to apply for re-admittance to York University.

2. Send in your Transcripts
If you attended another college or university after leaving York University, you'll need to send us your transcripts from those institutions.
If you haven't gone anywhere else, then no worries. You can skip this step entirely!
3. Wait for Approval
Once a student submits the Re-Admittance Application, the Admissions Office will contact each office listed below. All students returning to York University must be in good standing with these offices:
- Academic Affairs
- Financial Aid
- Student Accounts
- Student Life
Enrollment in classes in contingent upon approval from all of the above offices.
Note: Students who were receiving scholarships for participation in extracurricular activities are not guaranteed renewal of those scholarships upon their return to York University. After being accepted for re-admittance, students should consult with the coach or director of the organization for information about renewal of previously awarded scholarships.
4. Complete the Following
After gaining approval from the required offices, students must complete the following:
- Complete the FAFSA (York University's School Code is 002567)
- Contact the Director of Residence Life & Housing to confirm your housing

- Meet with your advisor and enroll in classes
